Spring-summer 2027 ready-to-wear collections: Africa in the spotlight at Paris Fashion Week
Fashion can absolutely be political, when it shapes identities and questions the balance of power. With his label Maxhosa Africa, South Africa's Laduma Ngxokolo is determined to put the continent in the spotlight. In Paris, Jacques Logoh, designer and founder of Togo's International Fashion Festival, gives African creatives a platform on the theme "Fashion against HIV". Plus Mossi Traoré stages his show at Paris's Père Lachaise Cemetery, to tackle the subject of death without taboo.
