At just four years old CEO and Founder, Jordyn Gudeman, had her first anaphylactic reaction to tree nuts. In a world where food allergies were uncommon, food was not properly labeled and extreme caution had to be taken. Most of her food had to be homemade. Today, while food allergies are becoming more common and food label getting better, when it comes to baked treats- the flavor and taste is often lacking when it comes to allergy-free cookies.
“I was inspired to create a cookie that was moist, full of flavor, delicious and visually appealing because I could not eat baked goods from bakeries due to my nut allergy,” says Gudeman on the inspiration behind the project. “Eddie G's Cookies are filling a hole in the market for delicious allergen-free food. Most other allergen friendly food is free from almost all the top 8 allergens leaving a product that is virtually flavorless. Our cookies have all the flavorful, moist and delicious. People with nut allergies can enjoy them just as much, if not more!”
At the beginning of 2019, Eddie G's Cookies acquired a fully functional commercial bakery with almost all the necessary equipment. Eddie G's Cookies are not only nut-free. They are kosher, non-GMO and do not include any preservatives. All baked cookies are then frozen to preserve their flavor, texture and quality.
